We are a Catholic school and place Jesus at the very heart of everything we do.
We are part of a multi cultural community with many different faiths and beliefs, all adults and children are respectful of each others differences and know that we are all made in the image and likeness of God. Everyone is friendly and caring, there is always, an adult we can go to if we need to talk.
All pupils feel very cared for and welcomed, no matter what our differences may be.
We are very proud to attend an outstanding school – knowing that we are safe and have access to a good education with very nurturing teachers awaiting us in our classes.
At St. Peter’s, we try our best in every aspect of School Life; we strive hard to achieve our ambitions, we always aim to look presentable in our school uniform.
Most importantly, we are respectful to adults and other children, trying to spread love and joyfulness all around us.
All children throughout this school are given copious amounts of opportunities to experience life-changing events along the way. For example, there are numerous trips linked with the curriculum to help us to consolidate our learning, from sports events to even going out of the country on a residential visit to France.
Some examples from the many opportunities we have are Young Voices, which happens annually, Knitting and Craft Club, Power Up workout class, Change 4 Life which is a sport event held at different periods of the year, lastly one of the most exciting reward as a result of attending these clubs is gaining points through the Children’s University to enable us to graduate in the summer term at Trentham Gardens.
Each class in the school has different times for lessons and break. Our teachers work very hard to make our lessons educational while being fun and exciting at the same time. We have opportunities to share ideas, have live debates, experience new learning and build on knowledge gained in previous year groups. There are many occasions in class where all the children are in discussions or work in groups to encourage independent learning.
We have breakfast bagels each morning and school dinners are cooked in the school kitchen offering a wide selection of food choices. Children love lunch breaks; they get to spend time with their friends, chat and play together.
Please come and look around our school and see for yourself what a truly special place it is.
Thank you for taking time to read our letter.
