St. Joseph's Catholic Church

Academic Year 2024-2025

We would love to welcome you to Family Mass at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Burselm. The next mass will take place on the 9th November at 5pm.

The gardening club had worked very hard over the spring months and planted both leeks and potatoes. These have now been harvested and we have donated to the St. Joseph's food bank

Thank you to all of our generous families who have also donated harvest food items. Once again these have given to St. Joseph's foodbank so that we can support vulnerable families within our local community.

2023-2024

Yr 1 have had special visitors from the parish to support in their RE unit, learning about the roles and responsibilities within church.

The Reception children have really appreciated the parishioners support with their visit to the St. Joseph's Church, learning all about this special place of worship

We have been so lucky to welcome the parishioners back into school to support the children with their RE unit in Yr2.

The children were privileged to be a part of the unveiling of a new piece of art work at Family mass on the 16th March.

We have continued to strengthen links with the Parish this year, including our donations to the Parish food bank for Harvest. During Advent, the Community Art group visited the food bank to volunteer in packing the Christmas parcels. They also added their prayers, gifts and crafts they had created during their after school club.

We would like to thank Fr. Matthew for all the support he has given the staff and children at St. Peter's. We would like to thank him especially for guiding our young children especially within their Sacramental preparation.

We wish him well in his new Parish Sacred Heart Hanley.

Academic Year 2022-2023

Congratulations to the children of Yr 3 who made their First Holy Communion at St. Joseph’s Church on the 11th June. May God bless you on your journey in faith.

We would like to thank and recognise the support of Churchill China who through the work of Mrs Kilgariff in Year 6 are now working closely with St. Joseph’s food bank and have donated 6 boxes of food during just the month of April.

As a school staff and community we collect food items and deliver to the parish food bank regularly. If you would like to make any donations please feel free to bring them into school.

Thank you

The children in reception when visiting the Church were able to drop off donations to the Parish food bank that have been donated by the staff at St. Peter’s this week.

We have welcomed Janet and Teresa again from our Parish of St. Joseph’s for mental health week, where the theme has been “Let’s connect” alongside the children they created clay pots which they took away with them for the church

We would like to thank Janet from the Parish of St. Joseph’s in Burslem for coming into school again to speak with the children about the church and what she does to prepare the Church.

Family mass was celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church with the children lighting the advent wreath, forming and singing in the choir as well as taking part in the offertory

We were very proud and grateful for the generosity of our families this harvest. We were able to support our Parish Food bank with many donations this year.
